We were absolutely delighted to hear that our Meet the Buyer event, held for the first time in June this year, led to a converted sale for Made in the Midlands member James Worthington and his company MyWorkwear.
James met Sukhvinder Basra, Group Purchasing Manager of Carver Climate Systems, for a 10-minute slot on the day of the event, and after a follow up discussion was able to secure the contract to supply workwear for Carver’s UK manufacturing facility in Nuneaton.
James said, “Thanks to a proactive introduction to Carver Group we have landed a new customer who, without Gleeson’s Meet the Buyer event, we may never have got the opportunity to pitch to. We’re already looking forward to the next event in early 2020!”.
